Edge of Memories gameplay overview shows Midgar Studio’s anime-inspired action RPG
Edge of Memories received a new four-minute gameplay overview trailer, giving players a better look at Midgar Studio’s upcoming action RPG. The game has been pitched as an anime-inspired French JRPG, and the new trailer focuses more directly on combat, exploration and structure. For players, this is important because Edge of Memories needs to prove it is not just visually attractive. The action-RPG space is crowded, and games with anime influence must show strong character control, readable encounters, worthwhile party or ability systems, and a world that feels distinct. Nacon’s showcase placed Edge of Memories alongside darker World of Darkness and Lovecraftian titles, which actually helps it stand apart as the more colorful RPG offering in the lineup. Midgar Studio previously built recognition with Edge of Eternity, a game with ambition but uneven execution. Edge of Memories looks like an opportunity to refine that formula with stronger production, clearer systems and a more confident identity. It is not the loudest announcement of the week, but RPG fans should keep it on the radar.
