Yoshi and the Mysterious Book has hit the least cozy kind of discovery: a game-breaking bug. Nintendo says the issue can happen if players begin researching the Bewilder Bird before Mr. E’s Index tutorial, end that research before making a major discovery, and then later reach the Index tutorial after finishing four chapters. At that point, players may become stuck on the page and unable to leave. That is a very specific sequence, but it is still the kind of bug that can turn a gentle platform-adventure into a support-ticket speedrun. The good news is that Nintendo has acknowledged the issue and says an update is already in the works. There is no patch timing yet, so players should be careful around that research path for now. Yoshi is usually about curiosity, charm and soft exploration. Today’s lesson is that even adorable dinosaurs need QA follow-up.
