007 First Light passes 2.7 million sales and gets year-one roadmap

By GFA Staff · June 6, 2026

007 First Light is not slowing down. 7 million sales in its first week, and the studio has already laid out a year-one content roadmap. That matters because Bond games have historically been treated like licensed one-offs, but First Light is clearly being positioned as a longer-tail action adventure.

The roadmap includes New Game+, TacSim challenges and a new mission that may point toward a classic Bond-style golden-gun thread. That is smart support. Players who enjoyed the campaign need reasons to keep testing the systems, and TacSim content could let IO lean into its Hitman-style strengths: replayability, constraints, scoring and stylish problem-solving.

Bond is back in games. Now IO has to prove he can stay there.
