South Korean publisher NCSoft has confirmed a worldwide simultaneous launch date of October 5, 2026 for its next-generation MMORPG AION 2. The announcement came alongside a spectacular new trailer broadcast during Gamescom week in Cologne.
Built in Unreal Engine 5, AION 2 expands the iconic aerial combat and Elyos versus Asmodian faction warfare of the original MMO. The sequel introduces seamless open-world flight, massive 500-player fortress sieges, dynamic weather events, and fluid action combat without tab-targeting limitations.
Unlike previous titles that launched in Asia first, NCSoft is executing a coordinated global rollout across PC and mobile with localized servers. Stay updated on MMORPG launches on [/release-radar](/release-radar).
