Among Us Story: On Guard confirmed for Switch 2 and Switch

Among Us Story: On Guard is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, and that is more interesting than it first sounds. Innersloth is taking Among Us into a narrative-focused direction, promising more stories about the Crewmates, more lore, more ways to play and a stronger single-player focus.

That is a smart expansion because Among Us became famous as a social deduction chaos machine, but the little beans always had more character potential than the original format could fully use. A story-driven version gives Innersloth room to explore the setting without forcing every moment into suspicion, emergency meetings and someone yelling “self-report” like a courtroom drama.

The danger is simple: Among Us works because of player behavior. On Guard has to create tension and charm without relying entirely on friends betraying each other in voice chat.
