ARC Raiders wins Nordic Game of the Year

ARC Raiders finally has a Game of the Year trophy, and it comes from the Nordic Game Awards 2026. Embark Studios’ extraction shooter took Nordic Game of the Year, while also winning Best Audio and Best Technology.

That is a strong showing for a game that has already earned plenty of attention for its multiplayer systems, but had missed out on the biggest awards at other major ceremonies. The Nordic win feels particularly fitting because Embark is Swedish, and ARC Raiders’ technical identity has always been part of its appeal: scale, chaos, atmosphere and the kind of audio-visual pressure that makes extraction feel like a bad idea you keep choosing anyway.

The awards also highlight how competitive the Nordic scene has become. Split Fiction, LEGO Voyagers and The Midnight Walk also picked up honors, but ARC Raiders walked away with the big one.
