Arcade Archives Cameltry rolls onto modern platforms today

Arcade Archives Cameltry launches today, bringing Taito’s 1990 maze-action game back for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PS4 and Switch through Hamster’s preservation pipeline. Cameltry is a wonderfully arcade-specific idea: rotate the maze, roll the ball and reach the goal before time runs out.

That simplicity is exactly why it works. Old arcade games often had one concept, one control idea and one mission: turn basic movement into immediate panic.

The Arcade Archives version includes modern features such as save states, rewind, screen settings, button remapping and online rankings, while the Arcade Archives 2 release adds Time Attack and VRR support. It is not the loudest launch of the day, but these releases matter. Preservation is not only about mascots and famous sequels. It is also about weird little arcade experiments that still have energy.
