Assassin’s Creed Shadows is getting its final update on June 16, and Ubisoft may be teasing a little Black Flag flavor along the way. 1, is being positioned as the last major content drop for the Japan-set entry.
That alone makes it important because Shadows has had a long post-launch tail, and final updates often define how players remember the support cycle. The possible Black Flag tease is the spicy part.
Bringing a hint of Caribbean pirate energy into Japan would be very Assassin’s Creed: historically questionable, commercially tempting and exactly the sort of crossover hook fans will argue about for days. Either way, Shadows is preparing to close its active chapter.
