Attack on Titan 3 announced for modern platforms

Attack on Titan 3 has been announced, and Koei Tecmo is returning to a series that has always made unusually good sense as a game. Attack on Titan is basically built around movement mechanics: high-speed grappling, huge targets, split-second positioning and the terrifying knowledge that one bad angle can turn you into lunch. The third game is coming to PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC, which gives the series a strong modern platform spread after a long gap since the last major entry.

The big question is how Koei Tecmo expands the formula. More spectacle is obvious, but better mission variety, smarter titan behavior and more meaningful character progression would do more for the experience. Fans want the speed and panic.

They also want a game that does not become repetitive after the first few dramatic takedowns.
