Ball x Pit becomes Europe’s next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial

Ball x Pit is Europe’s next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial, which is a very tidy way for Nintendo to push players toward one of 2025’s better-regarded oddities. The trial is live now and runs until June 1, letting active Switch Online members play the full game for free.

Save data carries over to the full version, which is exactly how these trials should work because nobody wants to redo progress just because the subscription gods demanded a test drive. Ball x Pit has enough curiosity value to benefit from this format: players may have heard praise, seen trailers or noticed the name without fully understanding why people got hooked.

A full trial removes the hesitation. Nintendo’s Game Trial system is strongest when it highlights games that are good but not guaranteed impulse buys. This looks like one of those cases where free access could convert genuine fans.
