Beholder: Conductor brings dystopian train surveillance to Switch today

Beholder: Conductor launches on Nintendo Switch today, which means players can now enjoy the deeply comforting fantasy of being trapped in authoritarian train bureaucracy while deciding how much of their soul to keep. The game puts you in charge of a carriage aboard the Determination Bringer, where passengers must be monitored, searched, judged and reported.

That is classic Beholder design: ordinary work transformed into a moral trap. The train setting makes it especially sharp because the whole system is compressed into a moving box full of rules, secrets and people who may or may not deserve your suspicion.

Switch is a good fit for compact management tension, as long as the controls and interface stay comfortable. If the port lands well, Beholder: Conductor could become a neat handheld dose of dystopian decision-making.
