Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 reportedly heading to Switch 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 may be coming to Nintendo Switch 2, according to new rumor chatter around the next entry. This is still unconfirmed, so do not start pre-installing 200GB of emotional baggage just yet.

But if it is true, it would be a major moment for Nintendo hardware. Call of Duty has been missing from Nintendo systems since the Wii U days, despite Microsoft’s 10-year commitment to bring the franchise to Nintendo platforms. Switch 2 finally gives Activision and Microsoft a more plausible technical target than the original Switch, especially if the hardware can handle modern shooters without turning every explosion into a slideshow.

The practical question is not whether Call of Duty would sell on Switch 2. It would. The question is whether players get a proper version, not a compromise wearing camouflage.
