Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse arrives October 15

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse now has an October 15 release date, and the pairing behind it is instantly interesting: Konami, Evil Empire and Motion Twin, the teams connected to Dead Cells’ modern action reputation. The game is set 23 years after Castlevania: Dracula’s Curse and follows Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor, as she tries to stop Dracula’s curse from claiming Paris.

That is a great setup because it respects the old timeline while pushing the series somewhere fresh. The new structure promises classic Castlevania exploration with modern speed, freedom and tarot-based Arcana skills.

In other words, this is not just another nostalgia package. It is an attempt to make a new 2D Castlevania feel current without forgetting whips, monsters, castles and unfairly dramatic candles. October is a perfect landing zone for gothic monster-hunting misery.
