Clash of Clans addresses Hero Journey migration concerns and rewards bug

Supercell has officially addressed player concerns regarding the transition to the new Hero Journey progression system in Clash of Clans. Following the recent rollout of the update, many active players reported confusion regarding how their historical progress would be migrated, with some expressing worries that their long-term efforts were being undervalued. The developers have released a detailed statement outlining how the migration formula calculates existing hero progress to ensure a fair transition for all active bases.

In addition to the migration explanation, Supercell acknowledged a prominent bug that has been affecting the distribution of Hero Journey rewards. A technical glitch caused some players to miss out on specific reward milestones or receive duplicate rewards during the initial migration process. The development team has confirmed that a hotfix is currently being deployed to resolve this issue, and a script will run in the background to automatically deliver any missing rewards to affected accounts over the next few days.

To further smooth over the transition, Supercell has explained the catch-up system integrated into the Hero Journey. The catch-up system is designed to help returning players and lower-town-hall players bridge the gap to higher progression tiers more quickly. The developer emphasized that these adjustments are intended to create a healthier long-term environment for the game's competitive scene, and they committed to closely monitoring community feedback to make further balance tweaks if necessary.
