Console Archives L’Empereur launches June 11 for PS5 and Switch 2, bringing back Koei’s 1991 Napoleonic strategy sim. The game lets players take the role of Napoleon and attempt to save France, which is a slightly grander career path than most modern tutorials offer.
This release is another reminder that Hamster’s Console Archives line is not only about action titles and arcade curiosities. It is also preserving older console strategy games that helped define specific niches long before modern grand strategy became mainstream.
