Crazy Taxi: World Tour revives SEGA’s arcade chaos in 2027

Crazy Taxi is back, and yes, it is still screaming in traffic with absolute confidence. SEGA announced Crazy Taxi: World Tour for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC, with a 2027 launch window. The trailer leaned hard into what people remember: speed, attitude, city chaos and music-driven arcade energy.

This time, the game adds a story campaign across five unique cities, online multiplayer racing, car customization and a revamped classic mode. That is exactly the right direction. A pure remake would be fun for ten minutes, but Crazy Taxi needs a modern structure if it wants to last longer than nostalgia.

The challenge is not realism. It is feel. If World Tour captures the old reckless rhythm while giving players more reasons to keep playing, SEGA may have one of its better arcade revivals on its hands.
