Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 first look set for July 3

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will get its first proper look on July 3 during Anime Expo, which means Night City is preparing to emotionally damage everyone again. CD Projekt RED and Studio Trigger’s follow-up is a standalone ten-episode story rather than a direct continuation of the first series, which is probably wise.

The original Edgerunners became a surprise cultural booster rocket for Cyberpunk 2077, reminding players that the setting works best when style, tragedy, chrome and bad decisions are all welded together. The new panel will include key creative staff and behind-the-scenes discussion, so this could be more than a teaser image and a logo.

The big question is whether the show will connect meaningfully to Cyberpunk’s gaming future, especially with Project Orion still in development. Even if it does not, Edgerunners 2 has one clear job: make Night City feel beautiful, doomed and completely unsafe again.
