EMPULSE gameplay reveal is set for today

EMPULSE gets its gameplay reveal today, and the cinematic trailer already made the message clear: this wants to be fast. 1047 Games is pitching a movement shooter built around wall-running, sliding, grappling and fighting through Freehold.

That immediately invites comparisons to Titanfall, which is both useful and dangerous. Useful because players still desperately want high-mobility FPS games that feel fluid and aggressive.

Dangerous because Titanfall comparisons are a mountain with very sharp edges. EMPULSE now needs to prove it has more than movement keywords. The reveal has to show weapon feel, map design, readable combat and whether the mobility creates meaningful choices rather than just stylish chaos. If the gameplay lands, this could be one of today’s most interesting shooter reveals.
