End of Abyss locks in October 1 launch date

End of Abyss has a date: October 1 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The new trailer at Summer Game Fest helped position the game as a moody action-adventure with a strong sense of mystery, which is useful because October is already looking crowded with horror, action and prestige releases. End of Abyss needs a clear identity to stand out.

The title suggests descent, danger and probably a lot of places where nobody sensible would walk voluntarily. The Epic Games publishing connection gives it extra visibility, but the game will still have to sell itself on feel: atmosphere, combat, exploration and whether its world has enough secrets to reward curiosity. October 1 is close enough to feel real now.

The abyss is no longer just a concept. It has a calendar entry.
