Famitsu chart keeps Tomodachi Life on top as Rebirth debuts big

Famitsu’s latest Japanese sales chart gives Switch 2 another useful victory lap. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream held the top spot, while Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth debuted strongly on Switch 2 in second place. That is a big signal for Square Enix’s multiplatform strategy.

Rebirth was once seen as very PlayStation-centered, but Switch 2 is now helping give the remake trilogy a broader second life. eFootball Kick-Off also performed well, showing sports games have room on Nintendo’s new platform too. Physical sales no longer tell the entire market story, but in Japan they still matter.

The chart says Switch 2 is selling software across cozy, RPG and sports categories. That is exactly the mix Nintendo wants.
