Tomodachi Life stays on top while 007 First Light debuts second in Japan

Famitsu’s latest Japanese software chart has Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream still sitting at number one with 52,483 weekly physical sales, proving again that Nintendo’s social-life chaos has ridiculous staying power.
007 First Light debuts at number two on PS5 with 20,690 physical copies, which is a solid Japanese start for IO Interactive’s Bond origin story.
Pokémon Pokopia, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book and Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered round out the top five. The chart is interesting because it shows Japan’s market rhythm in one neat snapshot: Nintendo life sim dominance, strong Switch 2 software legs, and a Western spy action game finding visible traction. As always, physical sales are only part of the picture, but Famitsu remains a useful weekly pulse check for the Japanese retail scene.
