Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves adds Mr. Karate on May 27

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is adding Mr. Karate on May 27, giving SNK fans another glorious excuse to argue about legacy characters, masks and martial arts drama. Mr. Karate arrives with Arcade Mode and Episodes of South Town content, which is important because modern fighting-game DLC works better when it feels like more than a character select slot.

Fatal Fury has always carried SNK’s distinctive mix of street-fighting style, old-school swagger and dramatic rivalry, and Mr. Karate fits that lineage perfectly.

The question is how he lands mechanically in City of the Wolves’ newer systems. A returning icon can be fan-service, but a good fighting-game DLC character also needs clear identity, matchup purpose and enough personality to make people actually train with him. If SNK gets that balance right, this update could keep the game’s competitive and nostalgic audiences nicely fed.
