Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth gets a UK sales boost from Switch 2

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is getting a useful UK sales bump from its Switch 2 release. Nintendo Everything’s latest UK software chart report notes that the Switch 2 version gave Rebirth a boost for the week ending June 6.

That matters because Square Enix’s remake trilogy has clearly become broader and more multiplatform than it was at the start. Rebirth moving strongly on Nintendo hardware helps validate the strategy before Final Fantasy VII Revelation arrives in spring 2027 across PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC.

It also shows Switch 2 can matter for big third-party RPGs, not just family games and Nintendo staples. Physical charts never tell the full story anymore, but they are still useful signals. Rebirth’s second life on Switch 2 is exactly the kind of signal publishers watch closely.
