Final Fantasy VII Revelation is still feeding the news cycle after its Summer Game Fest reveal, with more details now emerging around the final chapter of Square Enix’s remake trilogy. The core headline remains enormous: Revelation is the trilogy closer, launching in spring 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC.

But the details matter because this game has to land one of the most complicated remake arcs in modern gaming. It must resolve the altered timeline, give the full party meaningful arcs, modernize late-game areas and deliver spectacle without losing emotional focus.
