Fortnite goes full Michael Bay for two hours: Explosive Power Hours (and FNCS Heats day)
Epic is running Explosive Power Hours on Saturday, April 18 at 3:30 PM ET and 9:30 PM ET - that is 21:30 CEST on April 18 and 03:30 CEST on April 19 for Amsterdam. Players start with a giga-buffed Shockwave Rocket Launcher and Bouncing Boomsticks, Glider Redeploy is active, and Rival Credits are doubled. On the competitive side, FNCS Major 1 Heats continue this weekend, with April 18 also marked as a Heat day on the official schedule.
What it means for gamers: this is perfect "log in for one match" bait. Power Hours are tuned for short-session progression, highlight-reel nonsense, and maximum lobby chaos, while FNCS weekends raise the global sweat temperature and push the whole community toward sharper play.
In other words: today's Fortnite menu is built to punish self-control. One casual check-in can very easily turn into "why is it suddenly 1 a.m.?"
