G-MODE Archives+ Namco Chronicle launches May 28 in Japan

G-MODE Archives+ Namco Chronicle launches in Japan on May 28 for Switch and PC, continuing the very specific but valuable work of rescuing older mobile-era games from the digital swamp. The G-MODE Archives line is interesting because it preserves titles from a part of gaming history that is easy to lose: feature phone games, early mobile experiments and small licensed projects that rarely get the nostalgia treatment given to console classics.
Namco Chronicle fits that mission neatly, especially for players interested in Bandai Namco’s deeper catalog beyond the obvious arcade giants. It may not be a huge global headline, but preservation does not always arrive wearing a mascot suit and shouting.
Sometimes it arrives as a niche Japanese archive release that quietly keeps old software from disappearing forever. That is still worth celebrating.
