Classic horror adventures Gakkou de Atta Kowai Hanashi and Tsukikomori announced for Switch

D3 Publisher has announced Gakkou de Atta Kowai Hanashi and Tsukikomori for Switch in Japan, bundling two classic horror adventure games with a September 10 release. These are not the kind of horror games built around shotgun ammo and photorealistic teeth.

They belong to an older Japanese adventure tradition where atmosphere, urban legend, text, sound and unsettling choices do the heavy lifting. That makes the bundle interesting for horror fans who like the genre’s history beyond the usual survival-horror giants.

Each game will also be available separately through the Nintendo eShop, while the physical edition collects both. It is a niche announcement, but a valuable one. Japanese horror adventure games have a deep, strange lineage, and Switch continues to be a surprisingly good platform for preserving stories that might otherwise stay locked behind old hardware and language barriers.
