Halo: Campaign Evolved reveals 42 skulls and Campaign Remix

By GFA Staff · June 11, 2026

Halo: Campaign Evolved is leaning hard into replayability. Halo Studios has revealed that the remake includes 42 Skulls and a Campaign Remix system, letting players twist the classic campaign in ways that range from useful to completely ridiculous. Infinite ammo, “The Floor is Lava” and remixed enemy placements all point toward a remake that understands one thing clearly: Halo campaigns live beyond the first run.

Combat Evolved became legendary partly because players replayed its levels endlessly, experimenting with weapons, vehicles, physics and nonsense. Campaign Evolved now needs to preserve that sandbox spirit while making it feel modern. The addition of third-person options, remixed missions and skull-driven chaos suggests Halo Studios is not treating this as museum restoration.

It is trying to turn the original ring into a replay machine for 2026.
