Hitman: Absolution adds Contracts mode on Nintendo Switch

Hitman: Absolution has received a major Nintendo Switch update adding Contracts mode, which is a very Agent 47 way of saying players can now make murder homework for each other. Contracts lets players create custom assassination assignments by selecting targets, eliminating them in a particular style, and publishing the challenge online.

Other players then try to beat the creator’s performance and climb leaderboards. It is a smart addition because Hitman thrives on replayability, constraints and the dark comedy of finding the most stylishly unnecessary way to remove someone from the schedule.

Feral Interactive also says a Switch 2 upgrade pack is coming this summer, so Absolution’s Nintendo life is not over yet. Even older Hitman games become more interesting when the sandbox is given a reason to loop.
