Insider Gaming Showcase airs today to spotlight games seeking support

The first Insider Gaming Showcase airs today, and its purpose is a little different from the usual summer trailer parade. Rather than simply stacking announcements for hype, the showcase is designed to help games find funding, publisher support and visibility.

That is a useful idea because plenty of promising projects do not fail because nobody cares. They fail because nobody with money, distribution or platform leverage sees them at the right time. A showcase built around discovery and support could give smaller teams a more practical stage than a standard “please wishlist us” trailer drop.

Of course, the proof will be in the lineup. Players still need interesting games, not a digital pitch meeting with better lighting. But if the event connects developers with fans and potential partners, it could become a helpful new stop in the increasingly crowded post-E3 calendar.
