Into the Slimy Mines launches today on Switch

By GFA Staff · May 29, 2026

Into the Slimy Mines launches today on Nintendo Switch, bringing roguelike tower-defense chaos to anyone who thinks mining would be improved by slime infestation and questionable employment conditions. The setup has players crash on a slime-infested moon while working for Ironkilt Intergalactic Industries, then dig, build defenses, rescue the crew and somehow return with enough cargo to avoid being judged by the Boss. Mechanically, the game mixes path digging, tower placement, cards, booster packs, gadgets and upgrade combos.

That is a nice fit for Switch because tower-defense games work well in short sessions when the UI behaves and the loop has enough tactical bite. The best version of Into the Slimy Mines will make every wave feel like an engineering puzzle slowly becoming a panic attack.

Also, never trust a moon full of slimes. That is just common sense.
