June 9 release slate mixes NBA, Voidlings, cards and quiet weather games

June 9 is not only about Nintendo Direct hype. There are actual releases landing today, and the mix is wonderfully strange.

NBA THE RUN brings 3v3 street basketball, Voidling Bound offers creature-collecting sci-fi restoration, Solitaire Crime Stories turns card play into detective work, Beetle Shock lets a beetle smash through forest puzzles, and Poetic Trio offers rain, snow and wind as mood-first interactive experiences. That range is exactly why daily game calendars are useful.

The biggest headlines will always go to platform showcases and franchise news, but players actually choose from a messy shelf of sports games, indies, casual puzzle releases and atmospheric curiosities. Today’s lineup may not have one giant blockbuster launch, but it has plenty of little hooks for different kinds of players.
