Kingdom Hearts Cloud Version demos removed from US eShop

The Kingdom Hearts Cloud Version demos have been removed from the US Nintendo eShop, which is not exactly the kind of preservation story anyone wanted from cloud gaming. When the Kingdom Hearts cloud versions originally launched on Switch, the demos were important because players could test whether their connection could actually handle the games before buying.

That mattered because these were not local ports. The entire experience depended on streaming quality, latency and network stability. Removing the demos in the US makes the purchase decision less transparent for anyone curious about the collection today. The demos reportedly remain available in some other regions, so this may not be a global decision.

Still, it highlights the awkwardness of cloud-only releases on a console ecosystem built around portability. Kingdom Hearts deserves easy access on Nintendo hardware. Cloud uncertainty makes that access feel much less magical.
