Kingdom Hearts Collection I–III launches on Switch 2 October 8

Kingdom Hearts Collection I–III is coming to Switch 2 on October 8, giving new players a single giant door into one of gaming’s most beloved and most confusing action RPG sagas. 8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III with Re Mind DLC.

That is a lot of hearts, darkness, keys, friends, replicas, memories and characters who may or may not be different versions of someone else. But it is also smart timing.

With Kingdom Hearts IV now confirmed for modern platforms, Square Enix needs a clean way for Switch 2 players to catch up. A demo for Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind is also available on the eShop, which is helpful because some players may want to test whether the series’ particular flavor of Disney anime existentialism is for them.
