Developer Mango Factory and publisher Akupara Games have officially confirmed a November 12 PC release date for Episode 2 of Kumitantei: Old School Slaughter. The episodic murder mystery visual novel debuted to critical praise for its gritty retro-anime aesthetic and tense psychological intrigue.
Episode 2 plunges deeper into the conspiratorial killings haunting a secluded Japanese high school academy. Players interrogate deceitful suspects, cross-examine physical forensics, and reconstruct murder scenes using deduction boards. The developers noted that setting a definitive November release date ensures existing players have a reliable timeline for the next phase of the investigation rather than confronting an open-ended wait.
With vintage 1990s anime character portraits, nostalgic CRT scanline aesthetics, and branching dialogue choices that carry life-or-death consequences, Kumitantei delivers authentic detective tension.
