Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP passes 400,000 sales

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP has crossed 400,000 sales, giving Juliet Starling’s messy zombie cheerleader comeback a respectable milestone. The remaster always had a strange job: modernize a cult action game without losing the deliberately loud, trashy, arcade-grindhouse identity that made it memorable. This is not a polite game.

It is chainsaws, zombies, candy colors, jokes, sparkle effects and exactly the kind of 2012 energy that feels impossible to recreate accidentally. Crossing 400,000 units shows there is still commercial life in cult revivals when the original has enough personality. It also proves that not every success story needs to be a mega-franchise.

Sometimes a weird game keeps swinging until the audience finds it again.
