Madden NFL 27 adds 100+ FPS mode on PS5 Pro and 60 FPS on Switch 2

Madden NFL 27 is getting serious about performance options this year. EA says the game will offer Visual Pro and Performance Pro modes, with PS5 Pro capable of reaching over 100 FPS and Nintendo Switch 2 targeting 60 FPS in Performance Pro mode.

That is a meaningful shift, especially for Switch 2. Madden only recently returned to Nintendo hardware after a long absence, and 60 FPS is the kind of feature that immediately makes the game feel more credible for serious players.

The PS5 Pro number is also useful for competitive-minded fans who value response and smoothness over maximum visual glitter. EA is also pushing dynamic weather, more field wear and stronger presentation. Sports games often sell realism as a buzzword, but frame rate is one of the places where players actually feel the difference.
