Mighty Cuphead Adventure announced as Studio MDHR’s next cartoon chaos machine

Mighty Cuphead Adventure is on the way, and that sound you hear is everyone’s thumbs pre-emptively filing a complaint. Studio MDHR revealed the new Cuphead game during Summer Game Fest, which is a smart place to bring back a series built on gorgeous animation, jazz-age panic and boss fights that make players question their self-worth.

Cuphead already carved out a very specific identity: classic cartoon presentation with old-school difficulty that never hides behind softness. The title Mighty Cuphead Adventure suggests this may not be a straight repeat of the original run-and-gun formula, which is good.

Cuphead’s world has enough personality to support new shapes as long as the timing, animation and challenge remain sharp. Whatever form it takes, expect beauty, chaos and at least one boss that becomes a personal enemy.
