Minecraft Dungeons II launches September 29 on Xbox, PS5, Switch 2 and PC

Minecraft Dungeons II is officially coming on September 29, 2026, and this time the blocky dungeon-crawling adventure is launching across Xbox platforms, PC, PS5 and Switch 2. The reveal showed new environments, tougher enemies, more loot options and the Twisted Warden as a major threat. The first Minecraft Dungeons worked because it translated Minecraft’s friendly visual language into a simple action-RPG loop that younger players and families could enjoy without needing a spreadsheet of builds.

The sequel now has to expand without losing that accessibility. More customization is good. More complicated menus may not be.

The September date also gives Xbox a useful family-friendly and Game Pass-friendly release in the fall window. Not every big announcement needs grim darkness. Sometimes you just need a sword, a dungeon and a cube-shaped problem with glowing eyes.
