Monster Hunter Wilds confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2

Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, and that is a major third-party win for Nintendo’s new hardware. Capcom confirmed the Switch 2 version is in development, though it has not shared a release date yet. That matters because Monster Hunter and Nintendo have a long history together, but Wilds originally felt like a heavier next-gen push.

Bringing it to Switch 2 suggests Capcom sees the new platform as powerful and commercially important enough to support properly. The big question is performance. Monster Hunter lives on animation timing, monster behavior, multiplayer stability and readable chaos.

A compromised version would not help anyone. But if Switch 2 can deliver a strong portable Wilds experience, it could become one of the platform’s most important third-party releases.
