Mousebusters is coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on June 25, and its pitch is almost illegally charming: mice, ghosts, apartments and small heroes dealing with big spooky problems. Odencat has a reputation for compact emotional games, so this is likely not just a cute horror gimmick.
The best small horror adventures use contrast well. A tiny mouse holding a flashlight can be more memorable than another heavily armed soldier in a dark hallway.
Switch is a natural home for short-form narrative adventures, especially ones with personality. If Mousebusters balances creepiness, warmth and a few emotional surprises, it could become a tidy little late-June handheld recommendation.
