My Nintendo adds Yoshi Egg Zipper Pouch reward in North America

Nintendo has added a new Yoshi Egg Zipper Pouch to My Nintendo in North America, because apparently the real endgame is not defeating Bowser but hoarding cute reward items before they disappear. The pouch costs 800 Platinum Points and arrives just as Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is giving the character another spotlight on Switch 2.

It is a small merchandise story, but these rewards matter to Nintendo fans because physical loyalty items have become increasingly uneven by region. North America gets the pouch, while the UK is getting a Yoshi and the Mysterious Book sticky notes set for 400 Platinum Points.

Nintendo also released a new wave of Yoshi-themed Switch Online icons this week, so the company is clearly using the game’s launch window to wrap the character around the wider ecosystem. Is it earth-shaking news? No. Is it exactly the sort of thing that sells out and annoys everyone later? Absolutely.
