Netflix and Blizzard Are Developing a Diablo Animated Series
Blizzard has confirmed that a new animated television series set in the Diablo universe is being developed with Netflix. The announcement was made during the franchise's BlizzCon presentation alongside Diablo V and Diablo IV's future content roadmap. Blizzard has not yet disclosed a release date, episode count, principal cast or precise position in Diablo continuity, so those details remain open rather than hidden confirmations waiting to leak. What is official is the partnership itself and the fact that the project is animated. The move gives Blizzard another route for expanding Sanctuary beyond games while Netflix continues investing heavily in adaptations and animated projects based on established interactive entertainment properties.
