Ninja Gaiden III Joins Nintendo Classics

Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom is now playable through the NES Nintendo Classics application for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. The notoriously demanding action-platformer follows Ryu Hayabusa in the third NES chapter of the original Ninja Gaiden trilogy.

Its inclusion is timely given renewed interest in classic Ninja Gaiden following the franchise's recent revival.

Modern Nintendo Classics functionality makes the famously punishing game somewhat less intimidating than it was on original hardware, particularly for players willing to make generous use of save states.
