Nintendo Direct takes over June 9 with 50 minutes of Switch and Switch 2 updates

Nintendo finally gets its big June showcase moment today with a Nintendo Direct focused on upcoming Switch and Switch 2 games. The presentation runs for around 50 minutes, which is long enough to do serious damage to wishlists, wallets and rumor threads.

It will be followed immediately by Nintendo Treehouse: Live, giving Nintendo about 95 extra minutes to show deeper gameplay from selected titles. That is important because Switch 2’s second-half 2026 calendar still needs shape.

We already know about games like Star Fox, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Splatoon Raiders and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, but players want the bigger picture. After Sony, Summer Game Fest, Xbox and PC Gaming Show all made noise, now Nintendo has the final major showcase swing of the week.
