Nintendo has also confirmed a new Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation immediately following the September 9 Nintendo Direct. The broadcast will feature gameplay from selected titles shown during the main presentation, providing longer demonstrations than the rapid trailer format normally allows. Nintendo has not said which games will receive Treehouse segments because the Direct lineup itself remains largely under wraps. The arrangement effectively creates a two-stage showcase: announcements first, followed by deeper gameplay for some of the featured titles.
Treehouse presentations have historically been a favorite for Nintendo enthusiasts, offering unedited, in-depth looks at core mechanics, interface design, level layouts, and developer design commentary. Members of the Nintendo Treehouse localization and product development teams will play through live builds, answering questions and illustrating how games feel in the hands of players.
This extended format gives developers an opportunity to highlight subtle features—such as frame rate performance on Switch 2 hardware, cooperative multiplayer setups, and creative puzzle solutions—that cannot fit into a concise trailer. Viewers can stay tuned on Nintendo's channels following the Direct. Follow real-time reactions on [/news](/news) and discover launch targets on [/release-radar](/release-radar).
