Nintendo Will Stream Its September Presentations Through Nintendo Today App

Nintendo's newly announced September broadcasts will not be restricted to its traditional web streams. The company says viewers can also watch through the Nintendo Today smart-device application, provided they have a Nintendo Account and a compatible device in a supported region. The option applies to Nintendo's upcoming presentation schedule, which includes the Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct on September 8 and the main Nintendo Direct on September 9. It reflects Nintendo's increasing use of its own app ecosystem to distribute news alongside YouTube and its official website.

The Nintendo Today application, launched as part of Nintendo's ongoing mobile engagement suite, centralizes daily news, personalized game updates, My Nintendo reward missions, and event notifications. By incorporating integrated live streaming directly into the app, Nintendo provides mobile users with push notifications when presentations go live and seamless video playback without leaving the Nintendo account ecosystem.

App viewers will also be able to bookmark showcased games directly to their Nintendo eShop wishlists and participate in real-time celebratory community polls during the broadcast. Industry analysts note that this omni-channel distribution strengthens Nintendo's direct relationship with its global user base.
