One Move Away launches today, turning the simple act of packing boxes into a cozy narrative puzzle game about life transitions, memory and probably realizing you own too many mugs.
The game follows three interwoven storylines across more than 20 levels, asking players to pack belongings into vehicles while uncovering the emotional stories behind what people take with them and what they leave behind. That is a clever premise because moving house is secretly one of life’s best game mechanics: limited space, awkward shapes, emotional inventory management and the eternal question of why nobody measured the boot first.
One Move Away is now available on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Switch and PC. For players who want something quieter after a week of spies, horror demos and shooter updates, this may be today’s gentlest little emotional ambush.
