Outward 2 open beta is now available on PC

Outward 2 now has an open beta on PC, giving players a chance to sample Aurai before the sequel enters Early Access on July 7. That is a smart move because Outward is not a normal comfort RPG.

It is proudly awkward in the best way: you are not chosen, not overpowered and not treated like the world owes you a clean quest marker. The sequel doubles down on preparation, consequence and survival logic, with seasonal changes, backgrounds, tactical combat, ritual spellcasting, meaningful inventory pressure and both split-screen and online co-op.

The beta lets players test whether the sequel improves the rough edges without making Outward too soft. This is an RPG for people who enjoy packing properly, scouting danger, dropping backpacks before fights and learning the hard way that wolves do not respect ambition.
