Persona 6 officially announced for PS5, Xbox Series and PC

Persona 6 is finally official, and ATLUS used Xbox’s stage to drop the teaser that JRPG fans have been waiting years to see. The game is coming to PS5, Xbox Series and PC, though no release date has been announced yet.

The reveal confirms a completely new standalone story and cast, which is exactly what Persona needed. The series works best when every numbered entry feels like a new social universe: new students, new bonds, new supernatural rot hiding underneath everyday life.

The teaser points toward the usual double-life structure, with school, relationships, romance and memory-building on one side, and darker occult incidents on the other. Persona is now too big to be niche, but it still lives or dies on intimacy. Persona 6 has to make players care about a new group of friends before asking them to fight whatever nightmare lives under the city.
